| Raw material for encaustic tile production |
Fluvial sand: it prefers high strength sand as clean as possible to be mixed with other aggregates for better effectiveness. The size gradation must be appropriate with fineness modulus no less than 2.5mm, maximum size no more than 10mm and silt content lower than 5%. |
Cement: it prefers to be early setting cement of 425# grade, after 12 hours of dry heat curing, there must be sufficient mould ejection strength and higher creasing resistance of tile. |
Pigment: usual inorganic pigment ——ferric oxide series (including ferric oxide red, black, yellow and brown; chrome oxide green), quantities may be varied in correspondence to the requirements for encaustic tile colors. |
| Colored water-proof coating: special colored waterproof macromolecule coating for cement tiles, mixed with metal oxide, high quality chemical reinforcing agent and acrylics, which is very good in sealing performance, high temperature resistance, antifreeze performance and color preservation. |
Mold lubricant: it requires high quality lubricant, the usage of short quality of which may lead to releasing difficulties to break the tiles, and over quality of which will also affect the tile quality. |
